A farmer’s life

Before graduating from MSc in the UK, I joined WWOOF (WorldWide Opportunities on Organic Farms) in Oct-Dec 2019. Visited 3 farms (1 near Cardiff, 1 in Cornwall, 1 near Lancaster), I have learnt much about animal care, especially goats, sheep and chickens, wool production, wine making and various garden works. I have also enjoyed cultural exchange with British hosts and co-workers around the world, as well as the epic amazing scenery. Some memorable bits are building relationship with the adorable goats and timid sheep, putting dogs and chicken away in the darkness, taking a shower before sunrise, appreciating the orange red sunset and millions stars, breaking ice in freezing mornings, riding a bike and walking along the Lizard Peninsula… It was challenging hard work but absolutely rewarding:D
